FAQ

What are AI usage credits?

AI usage credits cover model requests made with Type-provided AI access. Usage is measured from the underlying model cost, so different models and requests can consume different amounts.

Do the plans have different features?

No. Basic, Pro, and Enterprise include the same Type workspace capabilities. Choose based on your team size and how much AI usage you expect each month.

What happens when we use our monthly credits?

Type warns workspace admins around 80% of the allowance. At 100%, new AI work pauses by default until you upgrade, add credits, or the next billing period begins. If you enable auto-upgrade, Type moves you to the next price point instead. On the $750+ Enterprise plan, AI work continues and admins keep receiving warnings.

Can we use our own Claude or Codex subscription?

Yes. Team members can connect supported Claude or Codex subscriptions. Eligible requests are routed through those subscriptions and do not use the workspace's Type credits.

Does it cost to add more team members?

Yes. Each plan includes the number of team members shown above. To add more people, choose the next plan size or contact us for a custom contract beyond 60 members.
